Are you an experienced Business Analyst looking to enhance your expertise in Securities Operations?

Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Securities Operations Analyst. This position involves supporting collateral settlement activities for Fixed Income trading, focusing on reconciliation, cash settlement, exception resolution, and process improvement within a dynamic team environment. The role offers an opportunity to develop a deep understanding of fixed income markets and enhance operational efficiency in a long-term contract setting.

Pay rate range (CAD): $34.78/hr – $41.73/hr

Responsibilities

- Support collateral settlement processes for Fixed Income trading activities
- Reconcile internal accounts and depository balances, including manual and automated workflows
- Process cash principal and interest settlements using Loan IQ for CSA agreements
- Manage cash settlement via SWIFT messages (MT202, MT103) for margins governed by CSAs and GMRA
- Identify and resolve trade discrepancies, feed issues, depository and cash breaks
- Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external partners to ensure optimal service
- Assist in analyzing, testing, and implementing process improvements and operational projects
- Document and update procedures for current and new processes
- Ensure escalation policies are followed and deliver high-quality service in difference resolution
- Manage exceptions arising from trade discrepancies,

Desired Skill-Set

- 1-2 years of capital markets experience
- Knowledge of Canadian and US fixed income settlements and payments
- Experience with trade lifecycle and cash settlement processes in Fixed Income
- Robust organizational, time management, and analytical skills
- Experience with SWIFT messaging (preferred)
- Ability to interpret and make decisions within operational boundaries

Nice to Have

- CSC or other finance certifications
- Experience with systems like Loan IQ
- Knowledge of Repo, Security Lending, or Margin calculations
- Ability to work in a hybrid environment and adapt to process automation
