Application Reliability Consultant (Production Support / SRE) — 6-Month Contract — Hybrid, Downtown Toronto

Our client, one of Canada's Big 5 banks, is hiring an Application Reliability Consultant to support production applications within their Wealth Management technology group. This is a hands-on production support role focused on keeping business-critical systems healthy: monitoring application performance and data flows, working incidents through to resolution, running root cause analysis, and supporting deployments and change activities.

What you'll be doing

- Providing L2/L3 production support for business-critical Wealth Management applications
- Monitoring system health and data feeds using Grafana, Prometheus, Loki, and Dynatrace
- Investigating and resolving incidents, then driving root cause analysis and preventive fixes
- Supporting deployments, operational readiness, and change activities on OpenShift (OCP)
- Building and maintaining monitoring dashboards, alerts, and runbooks
- Managing batch and job scheduling support through AutoSys, with incidents tracked in ServiceNow

What we're looking for:




- 5-7 years supporting enterprise production applications
- Strong troubleshooting and incident management skills in high-availability environments
- Hands-on experience with modern monitoring and observability tooling (Grafana, Prometheus, Dynatrace, or comparable — Splunk/ELK backgrounds welcome)
- Experience supporting containerized applications on OpenShift or Kubernetes
- Working knowledge of AutoSys, ServiceNow, Jira, and Confluence
- Banking, financial services, or Wealth Management experience is a strong asset
- Transparent communicator who documents well — runbooks and knowledge articles are part of the job

The details:
- 6-month contract, potential for extension or conversion
- Hybrid: 1 day/week onsite in downtown Toronto (plus one additional Friday per month)
- 37.5 hours/week, Monday to Friday, 9-5
- Occasional after-hours on-call (5PM-midnight), scheduled with advance notice
- Pay rate: $40/hr T4 or $55/hr Incorporated
