Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Arborist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and caring for trees, shrubs, and landscape features to promote healthy growth and aesthetic appeal. This role involves working outdoors in various weather conditions, utilizing specialized equipment, and applying horticultural expertise to ensure safety and quality standards are met.

An Arborist plays a vital role in landscape maintenance, environmental conservation, and client satisfaction.

Duties

- Prune, trim, and remove trees and shrubs using appropriate techniques and safety procedures
- Operate equipment such as bucket trucks, bucket lifts, and rigging gear for elevated work
- Conduct landscape maintenance tasks including planting, fertilizing, mulching, and pest control
- Use GIS technology to assess tree health, map landscape features, and plan maintenance schedules
- Perform rigging operations to safely lower large branches or trees during removal or pruning processes
- Inspect trees for signs of disease or structural issues and recommend appropriate treatments or removals
- Assist with planting new trees and shrubs according to landscape plans
- Maintain safety standards by using protective gear and adhering to industry regulations

Skills

- Proficiency in rigging techniques for safe tree removal and pruning operations
- Experience operating bucket trucks and other aerial lift equipment such as bucket operation tools
- Knowledge of GIS systems related to landscape management and environmental assessment
- Background in landscape maintenance with a focus on horticulture principles
- Strong understanding of horticulture practices including plant health care and pest management
- Ability to work at heights safely using appropriate safety equipment
- Excellent physical stamina for outdoor work in various weather conditions
- Effective communication skills for coordinating with team members and clients
