Shape the future of archives at the Royal BC Museum in beautiful Victoria, BC. This full-time Director role focuses on enhancing access and community partnerships in archival work. The Royal BC Museum is on the lookout for a Director of Archives who can lead a agile team dedicated to exceptional stewardship of the province's archival collections. Candidates should hold a Master’s degree in Archival Studies and have significant leadership experience in cultural organizations.

Your role will include developing strategic collaborations to broaden the understanding of British Columbia's history and culture. Key Responsibilities:

- Manage public access to archival collections
- Design audience-focused exhibitions and programs




- Supervise the transition of collections to the new facility
- Collaborate with Indigenous communities on archival matters
- Provide mentorship and leadership to archive staff

Requirements:

- Master’s degree in Archival Studies or related field
- At least five years of leadership in cultural settings
- Strong collaborative and project management skills
- Knowledge of Indigenous community relations
- Criminal Records Check is mandatory
