See below A. Position Summary The Assembler is accountable for ensuring the effective output of a high-quality product meeting customer expectations. The Assembler, assembles or fabricates mechanical parts, pieces or products using a variety of tools and equipment in the specified areas of production. The Assembler will have a supporting role in assisting the Instrumentation Technician, by learning to clean and calibrate instrumentation.

B. Key Responsibilities & Essential Functions The position will include the following responsibilities:

Leadership

Build support and engagement for corporate & operations initiatives and objectives; and

Safety

Understand and comply with the Rice EHS (Environment, Health and Safety) System; and

Help promote a safe work environment.

Assembly

Position parts and assemble according to manufacturing orders and work instructions;

Efficiently produce quality product, on time, that meets customer expectations;

Ensure parts meet or exceed written/drawn specifications during a complete production run;

Operate tools & equipment to produce product

Verify and record specifications and information on Quality Control (QC) Report,

Maintain a clean and organized work environment;

Perform preventative maintenance tasks on the machines and equipment to maintain proper functionality and cleanliness,

C. Required Skills, Education & Competencies





High School Diploma or equivalent; or two to four years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

1-2 years mechanical assembly experience.

Ability to read and interpret English.

Ability to perform basic math; add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.

Must be able to follow directions. Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly.

Basic computer navigation and utilization skills.

Ability to use hand tools and/or power tools, and precision measuring equipment.

Ability to use specialized equipment

D. Physical Demands / Working Conditions

· Regularly stand for long periods of time (up to 12 hours).

· Regularly perform repetitive tasks.

· Regularly possess manual dexterity to put parts or pieces together quickly and accurately in a production environment.

· Occasionally work in all weather conditions.

· Occasionally required to lift 30-50 lbs

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.40-$26.00 per hour
