Cranbrook CO-OP Gas Bar is looking for a motivated and dependable Assistant Manager to join our gas bar and convenience store team in Cranbrook, BC.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people, takes pride in providing excellent customer service, and is ready to take on a leadership role in a busy retail environment.

About the Role

As the Assistant Manager, you will work closely with the Manager to support the daily operations of the gas bar and convenience store. You will help lead and support our team while ensuring customers receive friendly, efficient, and professional service.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist with the day-to-day operation of the gas bar and convenience store.
- Lead, supervise, train, and support employees.
- Provide excellent customer service and help resolve customer concerns professionally.
- Maintain high standards of store cleanliness, merchandising, and presentation.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering and receiving merchandise.
- Complete cash handling, daily balancing, and deposits accurately.
- Assist with employee scheduling and performance management.
- Ensure company policies and procedures are followed.
- Promote and maintain a safe work environment.
- Ensure applicable health, safety, and environmental requirements are followed.
- Support the Manager with other operational duties as required.

What We're Looking For

- Previous retail, gas bar,



or convenience store experience is required.
- Previous supervisory or management experience is considered an asset.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent customer service and problem-solving abilities.
- Reliable, organized, and able to work independently.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced workplace.
- Basic computer and point-of-sale (POS) skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Valid driver's license is preferred.
