Under the supervision of the Plant Manager, the Assistant Plant Manager supports the overall management of operations and contributes to achieving the plant’s performance, productivity and quality objectives.

This role acts as the Plant Manager’s right-hand person; the incumbent will operate the forklift most of the time to assist operations and be available to employees on the plant floor.

Main responsibilities

- Assist the plant Manager in planning, organizing, and supervising production activities;
- Participate in the management and motivation of employees;
- Contribute to the optimization of production processes and continuous improvement;
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and operational standards;
- Participate in monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) and achieving objectives;
- Support the management of schedules, workforces, and operational priorities;
- Identify operational challenges and propose concrete solutions;
- Collaborate with other departments (logistics, sales, compliance, health and safety, HR);
- Replace the Plant Manager as needed during absences or as directed;
- Participate in various special projects related to operations;
- Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety responsibilities, environmental standards,



and standards for the recycling of electronic equipment;
- Perform all other related duties as assigned.

Requirement

- College or university diploma in management, operations, industrial engineering, or a related field (an asset);
- Minimum 5 years experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment;
- Able to operate a forklift;
- Experience un a team management or supervision;
- Valuable knowledge of plant operations, production and logistics;
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite;
- Bilingualism (oral and written).
