Lead Hand / Renovation Site Manager

Wage: $20–$30+ per hour, depending on experience and skill set

Service Area: Niagara Region to Mississauga and surrounding areas

About the Position

Applerose Renovation & Design is looking for a reliable and experienced Lead Hand / Renovation Site Manager to join our growing team.

We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, has a strong eye for detail, and is capable of helping manage renovation projects from the construction stage through to the final finishing touches.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on renovation experience, strong finishing skills, and preferably carpentry experience.

This is a working leadership position. You will be expected to work alongside the crew while also keeping projects organized, productive, and completed to Applerose standards.

Responsibilities

- Lead and work alongside renovation crews on residential projects
- Complete high-quality finishing work and final project details
- Perform general carpentry, trim, baseboards, doors, framing, and other renovation tasks based on experience
- Identify deficiencies and make sure they are corrected before project completion
- Delegate tasks and provide direction to crew members
- Help train and support less-experienced employees
- Keep projects moving efficiently and on schedule
- Maintain clean, organized, and professional job sites
- Communicate project progress, material requirements, and concerns with management
- Ensure work is completed according to company standards
- Maintain professional and respectful communication with homeowners and other trades




- Assist with material pickups and job-site organization when required

Requirements
- Previous hands-on renovation/construction experience
- Robust finishing skills and attention to detail
- Carpentry experience is a strong asset
- Ability to lead and supervise a small crew
- Ability to problem-solve and make decisions on site
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently
- Valid driver's licence is required
- Reliable personal vehicle is required
- Must be willing to travel throughout Niagara, St. Catharines, Niagara Falls, Hamilton, Burlington, Oakville, and as far as Mississauga
- Must have basic renovation tools and be comfortable using power tools
- Experience with kitchens, bathrooms, flooring, trim, carpentry, and general interior renovations is an asset

Compensation $20–$30+ per hour, depending on proven renovation experience, carpentry abilities, finishing skills, leadership experience, and overall skill set.

There is room for wage increases and advancement for the right person who demonstrates reliability, quality workmanship, leadership, and the ability to successfully manage job sites.

You should be able to walk through a renovation project, identify what needs attention, organize the crew, and help bring the project across the finish line to a professional standard.
