The Assistant Store Manager at Dollarama in Saskatoon, SK provides support to the Store Manager in overseeing the daily retail store operations, and in the absence of the Store Manager, acts as the Manager on Duty (MOD).

The Assistant Store Manager ensures that company rules and regulations are explained, understood, and followed by all team members, that inventory counts are done in a prompt and accurate manner in order to have proper resupply of goods, and that established merchandising practices are followed. The Assistant Store Manager also participates in recruitment and training activities of new employees.

Responsibilities

- Support the Store Manager in overseeing all daily retail store operations
- Act as Manager on Duty (MOD) in the Store Manager's absence
- Ensure compliance with company rules and regulations across all team members
- Oversee inventory counts promptly and accurately to ensure proper resupply of goods
- Enforce established merchandising practices throughout the store
- Participate in recruitment and training of new employees




- Efficiently organize time and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment

Requirements

- Minimum of two (2) years' experience in the retail industry
- Experience in team management
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage priorities
- Good leadership and communication skills
- Availability to work 40-50 hours weekly, including days, evenings, and weekends
- Comfortable with ladders, up-and-down movements, and heavy lifting
- Flexibility to travel within the assigned region
- Legally authorized to work in Canada

Starting at $17.60/hour. Full-time position. Schedule to be determined based on store operational needs.
