Job Overview

We are hiring an experienced MIG Welder Fitter for an industrial manufacturing environment specializing in industrial vacuum systems. The ideal candidate has strong hands‑on experience with MIG welding, fitting, fabrication, and blueprint/shop drawing reading.

This is a welding and fitting role involving semi‑custom fabrication.

Responsibilities

- Perform MIG welding, fitting, and fabrication of industrial components
- Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and welding diagrams
- Set up and operate MIG welding equipment
- Fit, align, measure, and assemble components before welding
- Use hand tools, torches,



and other fabrication equipment
- Inspect finished work for accuracy and quality
- Follow safety procedures, PPE requirements, and workplace standards
- Lift materials up to 50 lbs. as required

Qualifications

- 7+ years of MIG welding, fitting, and fabrication experience
- Solid hands‑on MIG welding experience
- Experience reading blueprints, shop drawings, and welding diagrams
- Ability to set up and operate MIG welding equipment
- Experience working with mild steel and steel
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- CWB Welding Certification is an asset, but not required
- Ability to work independently and become productive quickly

Hiring Process

Candidates will complete a hands‑on welding test involving shop drawing/blueprint interpretation, MIG welding machine setup, fitting, and fabrication.

Candidates must be able to confidently read and interpret drawings and fabricate components according to specifications.
