Our client is a leading Canadian financial institution seeking an Associate Director, Liquidity Management to join a high impact team responsible for strengthening the organization’s financial resilience and preparedness.

This is a strategically important role with broad enterprise exposure. The successful candidate will help shape and enhance liquidity management frameworks, identify emerging risks, strengthen contingency preparedness and support strategic initiatives that enhance the organization’s ability to navigate changing market and business conditions.

Working closely with senior stakeholders across Finance, Risk, Treasury and other corporate functions, this role offers the opportunity to influence initiatives with meaningful organization wide impact.

The Opportunity

As Associate Director, Liquidity Management, you will contribute to the development and enhancement of liquidity strategies, monitoring frameworks and contingency planning initiatives. You will play an key role in assessing emerging risks, developing scenario analysis and supporting the organization’s preparedness for a range of market and operating environments.

Key responsibilities include:

- Develop and enhance forward looking liquidity monitoring and risk assessment frameworks
- Identify emerging risks and provide actionable insights to senior stakeholders
- Support enterprise contingency planning, scenario analysis and stress testing initiatives
- Contribute to regulatory preparedness and strategic financial resilience initiatives
- Partner with senior stakeholders across Finance, Risk, Treasury and other functions on enterprise wide projects
- Enhance reporting, analytics and management information to support senior decision making
- Lead and contribute to strategic projects involving liquidity management, process improvement, technology and reporting




- Support initiatives related to financial resilience, funding preparedness and risk mitigation
- Present analysis, recommendations and insights to senior stakeholders
- Promote strong governance, controls and risk management practices across the function

What We Are Looking For
- Undergraduate degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, Mathematics or a related discipline
- 5 to 7+ years of progressively senior experience within banking or a similarly complex financial institution
- Experience in liquidity management, Treasury, capital management, financial risk or a related function
- Strong understanding of liquidity risk management and the regulatory environment within Canadian financial institutions
- Experience with scenario analysis, stress testing, contingency planning or financial risk frameworks
- Strong strategic thinking and project management capabilities
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders
- Highly analytical, organized and detail oriented, with a strong understanding of governance and controls
- CPA, CFA or relevant postgraduate qualification would be considered an asset
