Be a key part of social services at Strive as a Recreation Program Facilitator in Current Westminster/Surrey. Support individuals with Acquired Brain Injuries through tailored recreation programs.
As a casual facilitator, you will work on an on-call basis supporting clients in the Club House environment. You should possess excellent communication skills and have experience in diverse recreational settings. A diploma or degree in Therapeutic Recreation or related fields is preferred to build effective client relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and implement inclusive recreational programs
• Support clients both one-on-one and in small group settings
• Maintain accurate documentation of client activities
• Provide personal care as needed and attend team meetings
• Motivate clients to engage in social and leisure opportunities
Requirements:
• Degree or Diploma in Therapeutic Recreation preferred
• Experience working with marginalized populations
• Strong problem-solving and teamwork skills
• Knowledge of supportive equipment and community resources
• Valid Criminal Record Check and First Aid CPR Certificate
