Machine Setup Operator – General Manufacturing | CNC Exposure an Asset Location: North York, ON Job Type: Full time | Permanent Pay: $20.53/hour

Shift: Day Shift: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–3:45 PM Overtime/Saturdays required during peak season

Job Overview We are hiring an experienced Machine Setup Operator for a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate has strong hands‑on experience with machine setup, operation, adjustments, tooling changes, and troubleshooting.

Exposure to CNC‑based equipment is an asset.

Responsibilities

Set up and operate manufacturing machinery according to production requirements

Make machine adjustments and perform tooling changes

Monitor equipment performance and troubleshoot operating issues

Read and follow production drawings, specifications, and work instructions

Perform quality checks using calipers, tape measures, and other measuring tools

Identify and report non‑conforming products





Complete production documentation and data entry

Follow SOPs, safety procedures, PPE requirements, and 5S standards

Maintain a clean and safe workstation

Support production targets and continuous improvement initiatives

Qualifications

2+ years of hands‑on Machine Setup / Machine Operator experience in manufacturing

Strong mechanical aptitude and problem‑solving skills

Experience with machine adjustments, tooling changes, and troubleshooting

Exposure to CNC‑based manufacturing equipment is an asset

Ability to read production drawings and specifications

Experience using basic precision measuring tools

CNC certification is an asset

Basic computer skills

High School Diploma or equivalent

Physical Requirements

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Ability to stand for extended periods

Comfortable working around manufacturing noise, dust, and warm environments

Ability to wear required PPE
