DLegal Law Office is a growing boutique firm in South Calgary, and we are looking for an experienced Litigation Associate with 3+ years of Alberta practice experience to join our team.

This opportunity is designed for a lawyer who is comfortable taking ownership of files and wants the autonomy to exercise professional judgment, develop client relationships and continue building their own practice.

You will manage your files independently day to day, while having direct access to firm leadership and experienced colleagues when collaboration, strategy or a second perspective is helpful.

What You’ll Do

Your practice will focus primarily on Civil Litigation and dispute resolution. You will:

- Manage litigation files from initial consultation through resolution
- Meet directly with clients and develop practical litigation strategies
- Draft pleadings, applications, affidavits, briefs and settlement documents
- Conduct examinations, negotiations, mediations and settlement discussions
- Appear before the Alberta Court of Justice and the Court of King’s Bench
- Advise clients on litigation risk, strategy, costs and resolution options
- Take meaningful ownership of your files and client relationships
- Collaborate with other lawyers when a matter benefits from additional perspective or experience

Depending on your interests and experience, there may also be opportunities to develop or expand your practice in areas such as Employment Law, Business and Corporate Disputes, Family Law, Wills & Estates, Real Estate or other complementary areas.

Who We’re Looking For

You may be a strong fit if you:

- Have 3+ years of Alberta litigation experience
- Are an active member of the Law Society of Alberta
- Have meaningful courtroom and advocacy experience




- Can independently manage files from beginning to end
- Have strong legal analysis, drafting, negotiation and advocacy skills
- Communicate clearly and confidently with clients
- Exercise sound professional judgment
- Are organized, proactive and solutions-focused
- Value autonomy while also contributing to a collaborative team
- Want to continue developing your practice and professional reputation
