Are you detail-oriented and driven by solving complex challenges? As an Associate Material Management Specialist, you'll help ensure materials are available when needed to support production schedules, customer commitments, and key shipbuilding programs.
- Monitor inventory performance and material availability across the supply chain.
- Analyze inventory data, generate reports, and track key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Investigate and resolve material issues, identifying root causes and implementing solutions.
- Support material planning initiatives and continuous improvement projects.
- Collaborate with Procurement, Production, Planning, and Logistics teams to meet project milestones.
- Represent the Materials team in meetings and provide updates on material performance and risks.
- Prioritize supply requirements and manage long lead-time, high-impact material concerns.
- Post-secondary education in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field.
- 0-2 years of relevant experience.
- Knowledge of supply chain and inventory management principles.
- Robust analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Professional certifications such as CITT, SCMP, P.Log, or PMP are considered an asset.
Due to the nature of work Irving Shipbuilding does, all successful applicants must meet requirements for the Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP), Canadian Government Security clearance, and U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Please note this position requires a full-time, in-office presence.
