The Association Resource Manager is responsible for the effective administrative governance of the Association's Board of Directors as well as the management of its human resources. This position is responsible for applying regulations found in Association Policy Book, facilitating consistent and transparent elections processes, and ensuring clear organization and support for the Board of Directors and its committees.

Wage & Hours: $56970-$60970 suggested starting salary, 35 hrs/wk

Work Terms

10 paid vacation days to occur during winter break

Statutory holiday pay if holiday falls on a vacation day

10 paid sick days, access to additional paid sick days for appropriate medical issues

4% vacation pay on gross

50-75% of work week remotely

Description Summary

The Association Resource Manager provides leadership and administrative support for the effective governance and operations of the Association. The position supports the Board of Directors and its committees, oversees transparent and equitable elections, maintains corporate and policy records, and ensures the Association meets its governance and legislative requirements.

The role also leads the Association's human resources functions, including recruitment, onboarding, employee contracts and records, payroll, staffing plans, training, employee benefits, workplace health and safety, and compliance with applicable employment legislation.

Working closely with the General Manager, Executive, Board, and Association staff, the Association Resource Manager ensures that governance processes, staffing operations, elections, and organizational records are well coordinated, timely, transparent, and consistent with the Association's by-laws, policies, and strategic priorities.

The position also supports levy groups and student representatives, coordinates institutional transitions and executive shadowing, and contributes to maintaining institutional knowledge through reporting, surveys, and effective documentation.

- Strong active-listening and communication skills, with the ability to understand questions and concerns and provide thoughtful, detailed responses that are relevant to the Association’s policies, practices, and context.
- Demonstrated diplomacy, tact, discretion, and empathy when working with community members and students, particularly when responding to sensitive or complex situations.

Working Conditions:
- Ability to work at a computer workstation for extended periods of time.
- Ability and willingness to attend Board of Directors meetings, which are held on Sundays throughout the academic year, either in person or virtually.
- This position requires regular in-person attendance and work within the Association’s office.
- Ability to work effectively in a busy office environment, including periods of increased noise and activity.
- Ability to manage periods of high workload and competing deadlines, while maintaining accuracy, organization, and professionalism.

Training: Mandatory trainings (i.e., AODA, Anti-Oppression), TCSA Orientation & other trainings where available.

Pay: $56,970.00-$60,970.00 per year
