About the Role

The Company is seeking an Executive Director to lead its not-for-profit organization, which is dedicated to providing affordable senior living and promoting the well-being, independence, and quality of life of community members. The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall leadership and oversight of operations, programming, property, staff, and community services. This hands-on role requires a strategic leader who can also be actively engaged in day-to-day activities. Key responsibilities include property management, financial oversight, building strong relationships with stakeholders, supporting the Board of Directors, and ensuring that the organization's programs and services meet the needs of the community.





The ideal candidate for the Executive Director position at the company will have a post-secondary education, ideally in a related field, and at least five years of progressive leadership experience in a relevant environment. Essential skills include demonstrated financial management experience, robust communication, interpersonal, and relationship-management skills, and the ability to build trust and credibility across a diverse range of stakeholders. Experience in property management, facilities maintenance, and staff management, particularly in a unionized environment, is considered an asset. The role requires a proactive, accountable leader with a calm, patient, and empathetic leadership style, who can effectively navigate sensitive situations and is committed to the long-term success of the organization.
