As an Aircraft Structures Technician in the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF), you'll be responsible for maintaining aircraft structures, helping keep military aircraft safe and mission-ready.This position is available full-time or part-time, or as part of our paid education program.Pay & BenefitsThe CAF offers a range of benefits to ensure members are well supported. These include:Competitive salary starting from $4,337 - $6,413/month for new recruits who join the Regular Force under the Direct Entry planNew pay increases: earn more from the startSigning Bonus paid in installments at key service milestonesPaid education and training opportunitiesVacation, parental, and other types of paid leaveHealth, dental, and vision coverageCounseling, and relocation support servicesPension planStimulating workplace that promotes respect, belonging, and work-life balanceOverviewAs an Aircraft Structures Technician, your primary duties are to:Inspect aircraft structures and related componentsRestore or repair defects using unique aircraft fastening hardware, ferrous and non-ferrous materials, composite materials, chemicals, adhesives, paints and textilesWeld base metals, alloys and casting materials, using oxyacetylene, electrical arc, inert gas and resistance welding techniques and equipmentManufacture original aircraft equipment, components or replacement items from base metals using special cutting tools, engine lathe and milling machinesFabricate and repair aircraft structures using composite, fibreglass, textiles, leather, plastic and synthetic componentsMaintain life support equipment, ejection seats,
