Position: AI Automations Architect

Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours/week

Location: Fully Remote The Role

We’re hiring an internal AI Automations Architect to join our growing team at Globaltize. This role is focused on designing and building automations, internal tools, and systems that improve speed, efficiency, and scalability across the business.

This is not just a role for someone who builds automations. The bigger part of the role is thinking at a high level, mapping processes, identifying bottlenecks, and reverse engineering where and how automation should be implemented.

What You’ll Do

- Architect and build automation workflows from scratch using Make.com, n8n, and custom code
- Design systems that connect platforms such as HubSpot, Slack, Gmail, Google Sheets, forms, scheduling tools, databases, and other internal systems
- Build logic-heavy workflows with filters, routers, conditions, error handling, and fallback paths
- Create AI-powered workflows using tools such as OpenAI for summarization, classification, drafting, enrichment, and internal support tasks
- Translate manual SOPs and operational processes into scalable automated systems
- Build and maintain custom internal tools and web applications when automation platforms alone are not enough
- Work within our existing Next.js applications and help improve, debug, and expand them
- Connect internal applications to third-party platforms through APIs and webhooks
- Troubleshoot, test, and optimize workflows and applications to ensure reliability and efficiency
- Document automations and systems clearly so internal team members can understand and maintain them
- Collaborate with leadership and department heads to gather requirements and improve internal systems

- Continuously recommend current automation and software opportunities that improve speed, quality, and team output

What We’re Looking For

- 3+ years of experience building automations and systems using Make.com, n8n, or similar platforms
- 3+ years of experience with Next.js, React, TypeScript/JavaScript, and Node.js
- Experience building or maintaining full-stack web applications, dashboards, internal tools, and automation interfaces
- Comfortable working with REST APIs, webhooks, JSON, authentication, and third-party integrations
- Experience working with databases and backend services such as PostgreSQL, Supabase, Firebase, or similar
- Familiarity with Git/GitHub, Vercel, environment variables, deployment, and debugging
- Comfortable working with AI-assisted or vibe-coded applications , including understanding existing codebases, fixing bugs, refactoring code, and turning prototypes into reliable internal tools
- Able to determine when something should be built in Make.com or n8n versus when a custom application or coded solution makes more sense
- Strong ability to think like an architect and design workflows from the ground up, not just edit templates
- Startup mindset, scrappy, coachable, and solutions-oriented
- Comfortable working U.S. business hours, preferably Pacific Time

What Success Looks Like You will be responsible for thinking like a systems architect, identifying operational bottlenecks, and building solutions from scratch using tools like Make.com, n8n, AI, and our existing Next.js applications.

This is not a plug-and-play automation role. We’re looking for someone who can map out business processes, connect tools, design logic, work within custom software, and build reliable systems that solve real operational problems.
