We are seeking a skilled and energetic Automotive Painter to join our agile team. In this role, you will be responsible for applying high-quality paint finishes to vehicles, ensuring a flawless appearance that meets manufacturer standards and customer expectations. Duties
- Prepare vehicle surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and masking to ensure optimal paint adhesion and finish quality
- Mix and match automotive paints accurately to achieve consistent color matching and desired finishes
- Apply primer, base coats, transparent coats, and other finishes using spray guns or hand tools with precision and attention to detail
- Inspect painted surfaces for imperfections, correcting flaws through sanding or additional coats as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols at all times
- Use power tools and hand tools effectively for surface preparation and finishing tasks
- Assist with minor automotive repairs when necessary, leveraging mechanical knowledge to support overall vehicle restoration
Skills
- Proven dealership experience or extensive background in automotive painting and repair
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to vehicle bodywork and surface preparation processes
- Proficiency with hand tools such as sanders, scrapers, and masking equipment
- Ability to handle heavy lifting safely when moving vehicle parts or equipment
- Familiarity with automotive repair procedures and understanding of how painting integrates into the repair process
- Experience using power tools for surface prep and finishing tasks
- Mechanic experience is a plus, providing a comprehensive understanding of vehicle systems to support quality paintwork
