Position: AWS Cloud Solutions Architect (Migration and Modernization) Location: Albert Duration: 5 Months Job Type: Temporary Assignment Work Type: Remote

- We are seeking an experienced AWS Cloud Solutions Architect specializing in migration and modernization to lead the design, planning, and delivery of cloud transformation programs.
- The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in AWS architecture, migration tooling, security, and landing zone design, along with the ability to guide stakeholders through assessments and modernization roadmaps.

Key Responsibilities Cloud Architecture & Migration Delivery

- Design and implement end-to-end AWS migration solutions following AWS best practices.
- Lead application, database, and infrastructure migrations from on-premises or other cloud platforms to AWS.
- Utilize AWS migration tooling such as AWS Application Migration Service (MGN), AWS Database Migration Service (DMS), Migration Hub, etc.
- Develop architecture blueprints (HLD/LLD), migration plans, and operational frameworks.

Landing Zone & Cloud Foundation Design

- Architect and configure AWS Landing Zones (AWS Control Tower or custom environments).
- Design secure, scalable multi-account AWS environments including:
- VPC networking and connectivity
- IAM policies and identity federation
- Logging, monitoring, encryption, and compliance controls

Modernization & Transformation

- Define modernization strategies including rehost, replatform, refactor, re-architect, etc.
- Provide guidance on microservices, containers (ECS/EKS), and serverless architectures (Lambda, API Gateway).
- Conduct Well-Architected Reviews and outline remediation recommendations.

Assessment & Advisory

- Perform cloud-readiness assessments, gap analyses, and migration planning.
- Work closely with stakeholders to define cloud strategies and technical roadmaps.




- Communicate architectural decisions, risks, and dependencies clearly to both technical and non-technical teams.

Documentation & Collaboration

- Produce high-quality documentation including solution designs, architecture diagrams, and operational models.
- Collaborate with engineering, DevOps, operations, and security teams to ensure smooth delivery.
- Support knowledge-sharing and mentor team members as needed.

Required Skills

- Strong hands-on experience with AWS architecture, cloud foundations, and core AWS services (EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, RDS, CloudTrail, CloudWatch, KMS, Lambda, etc.).
- Expertise in migration tooling such as AWS MGN, DMS, Migration Hub.
- Solid understanding of cloud security, governance, networking, and multi-account management.
- Familiarity with application modernization practices and cloud-native design patterns.
- Strong communication, documentation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (CloudFormation, Terraform) is an advantage.

Preferred Certifications

- AWS Solutions Architect Professional (highly preferred).
- OR AWS Solutions Architect Associate with proven migration expertise.
- Additional AWS specialty certifications are a plus.
