Insight Global is seeking a Senior VMware / Azure Migration Engineer to support a large-scale VM migration initiative within a banking workplace. This role will partner closely with the Program Manager and broader infrastructure teams to drive the migration of virtual machines into Azure.

Required Skills & Experience

- 8+ years in infrastructure engineering / cloud migration / virtualization Deep expertise in VMware stack (vSphere, vCenter, ESXi) Hands-on experience with VMware HCX (bulk migration, RAV, network extension)
- Minimum 1+ year of Azure VM migration experience in enterprise environments
- Strong experience with Azure Migrate, ASR, and migration wave planning
- Solid understanding of Azure IaaS architecture (VMs, VNets, storage accounts, availability sets/zones)
- Experience with networking concepts: DNS, load balancing, firewall rules, hybrid connectivity Proven ability to define migration runbooks, wave planning,



and rollback strategies
- Experience with capacity planning, cost optimization, and performance tuning
- Background in banking / financial services environments (highly preferred)

Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- Experience with PowerShell, Azure CLI, or Terraform for automation
- Exposure to DevOps pipelines (CI/CD) for infrastructure provisioning
- Familiarity with monitoring/observability tools (Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Splunk, Dynatrace)

Vacancy: This posting is for a currently vacant role, and the successful candidate will be hired into an existing open position. Pay Rate: $50-$65/hr
