Our core values are keeping our word, working better together and embracing diversity.Reporting to the Vice President, Asset Management, this dynamic individual will fill the position of Director, Asset Management, overseeing a portfolio of residential and mixed-use assets across the Central and Eastern Canada regions.Based in either Toronto or Montreal, this role will work closely with the Asset Management team to ensure the effective allocation of resources required to optimize portfolio performance and advance the strategic objectives outlined in each property's business plan.This leadership role will actively participate in establishing and executing on the strategic objectives and management decisions. The ideal candidate is highly organized with a keen eye for detail, a high degree of common sense and judgment. The successful person will be a self-starter, a strategic thinker and have a great service-oriented attitude that will continue to encourage constant improvement of services and performance.ResponsibilitiesAsset ManagementAct as liaison with internal teams (i.E., Asset Management, Leasing, Property Management & Development) to establish and execute on property management, leasing, and value creation strategies.Prepare and communicate budgets, business plans, quarterly and annual reports to GWLRA senior management, Portfolio Management and / or external clientsParticipate in the acquisition, disposition, development,



and renovations of new and existing propertiesAsset ValuationOversee the monthly or quarterly internal and external valuation and reporting requirements utilizing Argus Enterprise softwareOverall Property ManagementWork in conjunction with the property level teams and other internal divisions and stakeholders to establish the overall direction of property management services for the portfolioFocusing on long range planning, service benchmarking, profitability as well as a focus on energy management and sustainabilityEnsure leading-edge policies, procedures and best practices are in place for all aspects of the portfolio; including tenant relations, building operations, construction services, security/life safety, environmental compliance, purchase due diligence, etc.Budget And Fiduciary ResponsibilitiesIn conjunction with your teams, develop operating and expense budgets for both specific assets as well as the overall regionDevelop and implement long-term capital project plansPeople LeadershipDevelop, coach, and motivate a high-performance teamBuild strong relationships and act as a mentorCreate opportunities for growth within your teamDevelop long term strategy on staff development and recognitionExternal EngagementRepresent GWLRA as an active participant within the real estate sector, engaging with consultants, tenants, leasing brokers, and othersQualificationsMinimum 10 years of industry experience and post-secondary education in a related discipline as well as your proven knowledge of building systems positions you as an asset to our teamBilingualism in English and French is preferred and considered a robust assetStrong leadership, communication skills,

This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation ( i.E. annual bonus, commission etc).
