About Mickey’s

Mickey’s Café & Lounge is a new café experience opening in Kitchener, bringing together specialty coffee, fresh bakery and pastry items, desserts, café food and a welcoming atmosphere from morning through evening.

We’re building our opening team and are looking for friendly, energetic and passionate Baristas who genuinely enjoy coffee, hospitality and creating a great customer experience.

What You’ll Do

- Prepare espresso-based drinks including lattes, cappuccinos, americanos and specialty beverages
- Prepare teas, cold beverages and seasonal café drinks
- Dial in espresso and maintain consistency and quality throughout the day
- Provide friendly, attentive and efficient customer service
- Take customer orders and process payments through the POS
- Help customers with menu questions and recommendations
- Maintain a clean and organized espresso bar, counter and customer area
- Restock coffee, milk, cups and other bar supplies
- Assist with displaying and serving pastries, desserts and other café items
- Work efficiently with the kitchen, bakery and front-of-house team during busy periods
- Follow food safety, sanitation and opening/closing procedures

What We’re Looking For
- Previous barista, café, restaurant or hospitality experience is preferred




- Knowledge of espresso preparation and milk steaming is an asset
- Latte art skills are a strong asset
- Friendly and confident communication with customers
- Strong attention to detail and pride in drink presentation
- Ability to stay organized and positive during busy periods
- Dependable, punctual and comfortable working as part of a team
- Willingness to learn our coffee, drinks and food menu
- Availability for a combination of weekdays, weekends and holidays
