Working at our farmhouse located in the middle of our 20-acre orchard your new career will have you working at our cidery, distillery, retail lounge and eatery. At Merridale, we strive to handcraft the most delicious and intriguing cider and spirits that you’ll ever drink. Produced with a sense of origin, curiosity, integrity and a stubborn refusal to accept the way things have always been done. At our Eatery, Bakery and on-site events you will help introduce visitors to Merridale and all we do.

Full-time and Part-time positions, with mostly DAY shifts and weekends required. We are looking for a positive multi-tasker who is an outgoing, customer-centric leader with a passion and diligence that is contagious.

Key Responsibilities:

- Creating craft cocktails and pouring cider at the tasting bar
- Assisting and selling to our customers in the Retail store and Eatery area.
- Pairing food with drinks in the Eatery
- Understanding and being able to communicate information about the Merridale philosophy and our products to customers and staff.
- Ensuring your work is always customer-focused while maintaining a smooth flow on the floor
- Contributing to a sales-based culture –helping to build our guests into advocates of the brand.

Skills:





- Experience in the food and beverage industry
- Retail sales & bartending experience is helpful, but if you enjoy interacting with people we will provide training
- A desire to deliver an experience for our guests that goes above and beyond
- Able to work under pressure and resolve conflict quickly and effectively
- A keen eye for detail
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Be self-motivated and a team player

Company Profile Merridale is a cidery distillery and eatery in the Cowichan Valley on Vancouver Island. Our farm is a destination where we grow our apples, and make our craft products - cider, spirits, food and experiences for our guests. As a destination, we focus on tastings, tours, and events. We have been in business for over 30 years in the Cowichan Valley.
