About the Bender Role The Bender is responsible for cutting, bending, rolling, reaming, punching, drilling, welding, or otherwise shape and form metal stock such as channel, I beam, and structural steel as specified.

Job Responsibilities

· Setting up machines at the beginning of shift to ensure proper working order.

· Maintaining and cleaning machines before and after each shift.

· Monitor machines during every procedure to ensure optimum running.

· Troubleshoot problems during machine operation.

· Bend materials according to instructions or blueprints as required. Check work to ensure the quality meets expectations.

· Ensure stocks/inventory of needed materials are always ready and available.

· Follows all plant safety guidelines, practices and procedures.

· Properly use personal protective equipment when required.

· Notify supervisors/leads of problems that may occur with equipment or part quality.

· Other activities may include but are not limited to: cutting, sawing, drilling, tapping, grinding, prepping kits and lay-outs to meet customer specifications.

· Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

· High School Diploma or equivalent.

· 2 years of experience within a similar role within a manufacturing environment.

· Forklift and Overhead Crane experience preferred.

· Familiarity with AutoCAD preferred.

· Ability to read and understand blueprints.

· Ability to demonstrate strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.

· Strong verbal and written communication skills.





· Ability to effectively build relationships with co-workers.

· Ability to work under pressure with time constraints.
