Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and energetic Bharatnatyam Dance Instructor to inspire students through the rich tradition of Indian classical dance. In this role, you will lead engaging dance classes, teach foundational and advanced techniques, and foster a love for cultural arts among learners of all ages. Duties

- Design and deliver engaging Bharatnatyam dance lessons tailored to different skill levels, from beginners to advanced students
- Demonstrate proper dance techniques, postures, hand gestures (mudras), and facial expressions aligned with traditional practices
- Create a positive learning workplace that encourages creativity, discipline, and cultural understanding
- Prepare students for performances, recitals, or examinations by guiding rehearsals and providing constructive feedback
- Incorporate music, storytelling, and cultural context into lessons to enrich students’ understanding of the dance form
- Maintain class attendance records,



progress reports, and lesson plans to ensure consistent student development
- Collaborate with parents and guardians to communicate student progress and upcoming events

Requirements

- Proven experience teaching Bharatnatyam or similar Indian classical dance styles
- Strong tutoring and teaching skills with the ability to adapt lessons for diverse age groups
- Experience working with children and understanding of early childhood education principles
- Knowledge of traditional music, rhythm patterns, and storytelling techniques integral to Bharatnatyam
- Excellent classroom management skills to foster a respectful and motivating environment
- Ability to choreograph routines for performances or competitions as needed
- A passion for promoting cultural arts and inspiring students through dance
