Overview

We are seeking a bilingual (French & English) dynamic and detail-oriented Bookkeeper / Controller to join our financial team. This vital role combines hands-on bookkeeping with strategic financial oversight, ensuring accurate record-keeping, compliance, and insightful financial analysis. As a key contributor, you will manage day-to-day accounting operations, oversee financial reporting, and support budgeting processes to help drive the organization’s financial health and growth.

Duties

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes to ensure timely payments and collections
- Reconcile bank statements and perform detailed account analysis to identify discrepancies or irregularities
- Oversee payroll processing, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and accuracy in employee payments
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management review
- Support budgeting activities by monitoring expenses and forecasting future financial needs




- Assist with audits by providing necessary documentation and ensuring adherence to internal controls

Requirements

- Proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles with familiarity in accounting software including QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero
- Strong understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and bank reconciliations
- Ability to perform detailed account analysis and conduct thorough account reconciliation
- Knowledge of budgeting processes and financial reporting standards
- Excellent organizational skills with keen attention to detail and accuracy
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and external auditors
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field is preferred but not mandatory if complemented by relevant experience
