Role: Business Analyst – Risk IT
Location: Toronto, ON – 4 Days Onsite

Role Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst – Risk IT with robust banking, regulatory reporting, risk, and data mapping experience to support a major Risk IT initiative.
The ideal candidate should have experience working with Capital Markets products, counterparty credit exposure, regulatory reporting, SDLC, SQL, requirements gathering, data mapping, UAT, and production implementation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with regulatory reporting and RBC Capital Markets-related products such as Loans, Deposits, Nostro/Vostro, Client Data Repository (CDR), Client Lifecycle Management (CLM), KYC, and Booking Data Repository (BDR)
- Understand counterparty credit exposure measurement across Lending, Securities Finance Transactions (SFT), Derivatives, and other products
- Develop source-to-target data mapping and reporting logic
- Perform data gap analysis across systems, processes, and procedures
- Prepare Business Requirements Documents and functional requirements
- Liaise with IT Developers, QA, business stakeholders, project leadership, and senior management
- Coordinate and execute UAT, testing, implementation, and migration activities
- Support regulatory reporting including Large Exposure Framework (LEF) and Single Counterparty Credit Limit (SCCL)
- Contribute to process reengineering and continuous improvement
- Prepare user documentation and support training
- Track project status, risks, issues, and dependencies and communicate them to management/PMs
Must-Have Skills:
✅ Business Analysis experience in Banking / Financial Services / Consulting
✅ Experience with systems implementation, process improvement, or systems reengineering
✅ Strong understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies
✅ Experience with SQL
✅ Exposure to Hive, MS SQL Server, Teradata, HUE, Dremio or similar technologies
✅ Strong experience with data mapping, requirements gathering, UAT, and testing
✅ Advanced MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, and Access
✅ Knowledge of Risk, Regulatory Reporting, Capital Markets, or Counterparty Credit Risk is highly preferred
✅ Bachelor's degree or higher in Finance, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
Additional Requirement:
The project involves collaboration with teams in Asia, so candidates must be comfortable working early mornings and/or late evenings to accommodate different time zones.
Preferred: Mandarin and/or Cantonese language skills.
