Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Butcher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in the food industry, in butchery and meat preparation. This role involves preparing, cutting, and packaging meat products while ensuring the highest standards of food safety and customer service. The Butcher will play a vital role in delivering quality products to our customers and maintaining a clean, organized work environment.

Duties

- Previous experience in the food industry, especially in butchery or meat cutting, is a must.

- Cut, trim, and prepare various types of meat according to specifications and safety standards

- Handle meat products with proper food handling techniques to ensure freshness and safety

- Package meat products efficiently for retail display

- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations, tools, and equipment in compliance with food safety regulations

- Assist with inventory management, including stock rotation

- Provide excellent customer service by answering questions about products and offering recommendations when necessary





- Follow all food safety protocols to prevent contamination and ensure quality control

- Collaborate with team members to meet daily production goals and uphold company standards Experience

Experience

- Knowledge of several cuts and preparation techniques an asset, but willing to continue the training of dedicated team members.

- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and basic butchery skills.

- Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in a kitchen or retail environment

- Knowledge of grinding process for ground meat and sausages.

- Experience with packaging meat products for retail or wholesale purposes is a plus

- Strong attention to detail, manual dexterity, and ability to work efficiently in a rapid-paced setting

Pay: $22.00-$26.00 per hour
