Available Job Prospect: Business Transformation Specialist
Location: Vaughan, Ontario The Opportunity The Business Transformation Specialist plays a key role in supporting strategic transformation and value creation initiatives across KGHM International. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the implementation of enterprise-wide improvement programs while working closely with senior leaders and stakeholders across multiple business units.
Reporting to the Head of Corporate Development, this position supports the ongoing enhancement, implementation, and management of the value creation initiatives. The role is responsible for driving program governance, performance reporting, platform implementation, and stakeholder coordination to ensure the successful delivery of value creation initiatives. Through collaboration with leaders across the organization, the Business Transformation Specialist will help strengthen accountability, improve program effectiveness, and support sustainable business performance.
This is a newly created role intended to support the value creation initiatives at KGHMI. The position is initially offered as a one-year fixed-term contract and is based at our head office in Vaughan,
Ontario. We offer a hybrid work arrangement, providing flexibility to work from home, with an expectation of being in the office 1 day per week, between Monday to Friday. Travel requirements are minimal and expected to be occasional, if any.
What You’ll Do
- Complete the vendor selection and lead the implementation of the dedicated Value Creation Program (VCP) platform, including requirements definition, configuration, data migration, testing, training, rollout and user adoption.
- Review and enhance the VCP framework, governance model, processes, methodologies, tools and reporting requirements and support their consistent implementation across all business units.
- Coordinate H1 and full-year reporting, monitor initiative progress and prepare dashboards and management materials for Senior Leadership.
- Coordinate the day-to-day management of the VCP portfolio, serve as the primary contact for business unit coordinators and initiative owners, and manage information requests, deadlines and follow-up actions.
- Review and challenge business cases, financial assumptions, value drivers and projected benefits while identifying delivery risks, data gaps and required corrective actions.
- Coordinate the VCP rewarding and recognition process with business units, HR and Senior Leadership, including validation of performance information and preparation of recommendations.
- Support VCP governance, communication and capability building through management of approval processes, preparation of governance materials and delivery of guidance and training.
- Other duties as assigned.
What You’ll Bring
- Minimum 3-5 years of relevant professional experience in value creation, business improvement, transformation, PMO, performance management, controlling, strategy execution or a related area.
- Experience in the coordination of cross-functional or cross-entity initiatives within large organizations or capital groups.
- Experience working independently with multiple business units and senior stakeholders in a complex, international organization.
- Experience in the mining,
natural resources or other asset-intensive industry would be an advantage.
- University degree in Economics, Finance, Management, Engineering or related fields.
- Very good command of English (working language); Spanish is an asset.
- Strong project management and implementation skills, with the ability to independently drive projects from planning through execution.
- Ability to support coordinators in business units with analytical tasks, including financial modelling, value driver analysis and validation of assumptions.
- Advanced Excel skills; experience with BI tools is an advantage.
- Solid organizational and communication skills, ability to work with senior stakeholders.
- Proactive, detail-oriented and results-driven mindset.

Compensation for this position is determined by experience and alignment with role requirements and typically ranges from $75,000 to $95,000.
