Founded by MasterChef Canada winner Christopher Siu, Daan Go Cake Lab is a vibrant dessert and café concept known for turning cakes, pastries, and desserts into edible works of art. Inspired by Asian flavours and creative design, our products are made to be as beautiful as they are delicious.

We’re growing our bakery café team and looking for a FoH cashier/barista who loves good coffee, beautiful desserts, and great people. If you thrive in a café environment, take pride in what you do, and genuinely enjoy creating memorable customer experiences, we’d love to meet you.

The Opportunity:

As a Cafe Barista, you’ll be an important part of our front-of-house team and the face of the Daan Go customer experience. You’ll be responsible for crafting quality coffee and beverages, serving our signature cakes and pastries, taking and boxing orders, and making sure every customer leaves with a smile and some whimsy.

What You'll Do:

- Craft high-quality espresso-based beverages, specialty lattes, teas, and seasonal drinks with consistency and care
- Share your knowledge and enthusiasm for coffee and desserts with our customers
- Serve and present our cakes, pastries, desserts, and other café offerings
- Create warm, welcoming, and memorable customer experiences
- Accurately and efficiently manage dine-in, takeaway, and grab-and-go orders
- Process cash, debit, credit, and mobile payments accurately
- Maintain a clean, organized, stocked, and inviting café and bar area
- Complete opening and closing duties and support daily café operations
- Assist with light food preparation and decorating with production as needed
- Maintain front-of-house cleanliness, including dishes, sweeping, mopping,



and general upkeep
- Follow food safety, sanitation, quality, and operational standards
- Maintain a high level of attention to detail and quality control
- Work efficiently and calmly during busy periods while maintaining quality and service standards

Who You Are:

The ideal candidate

- Has previous bakery café, café, barista, or specialty coffee experience
- Loves people, coffee, cake, and food—preferably all four!
- Has a strong customer-service mindset and enjoys connecting with customers
- Is confident, outgoing, approachable, and professional
- Has excellent communication and multitasking skills
- Has basic latte art skills or is excited to learn
- Works quickly and efficiently with a strong sense of urgency
- Is highly organized and maintains excellent cleanliness and hygiene standards
- Is comfortable working weekends and holidays as required
- Is able to work effectively under pressure,on their own, or with a team
- Is physically capable of standing up to 8 hours a day and lifting up to 20 lbs

Pay: $19.00-$21.00 per hour
