Job Overview The Hearth Room Cafe is looking for a Café Barista to join our team. In this role, you will craft delicious beverages, serve food with a smile, and create a welcoming atmosphere for every guest. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will help ensure each visitor has a memorable experience. We’re looking for motivated individuals who thrive in fast-paced environments and love engaging with people.

Duties

- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and specialty beverages.
- Operate the Square POS system & manage cash register including basic math
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, adhering to food safety and handling protocols
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting guests warmly, answering questions, and ensuring satisfaction
- Support food safety standards by following proper hygiene practices and food handling procedures




- Available to work shifts falling on weekdays and weekends

Qualifications

- Previous barista experience is an asset, but not required. Food service experience is highly preferred
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, positive attitude
- Ability to manage time effectively in a busy environment while multitasking efficiently
- Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction processing
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
