Camp Manager Job Posting
Blue Collar Modular Housing Ltd is hiring an experienced camp manager for a 20-40 person camp near Anahim Lake, BC. Must have experience with Camp Management duties and be willing to relocate.
Duties Include:
Operation Management
- Plan, Organize, direct, coordinate and evaluate all daily camp operations
- Ensure the camp maintains a safe, clean, organized, and professional environment
- Develop and implement operations procedures that support efficient camp operations
- Coordinate daily activities between camp occupants, contractors, suppliers, project management and client
- Monitor camp occupancy and accommodation requirements
Health, Safety & Compliance
- Promote and maintain a robust safety culture throughout camp operations
- Conduct regular camp inspections and ensure corrective actions are completed
- Coordinate safety meetings and toolbox talks where required.
- Ensure compliance with company safety policieis, client requirements and applicable provincial regulations
- Report hazards, incidents, near misses and safety concerns
- Maintain emergency preparedness equipment and emergency response procedures. Adjusting as required for different seasonal challenges for remote location.
Accommodation Management
- Coordinate room assignemtns, camp occupancy, and employee accommodations
- Process accommodations requests and room changes
- Ensure accommodations are maintained to company standards and client standards
- Coordinate Check-in and Check-out procedures to maintain accurate head count in camp
Housekeeping & Camp Services
- Develop and monitor housekeeping schedules and activities
- Inspect accommodations and common areas for cleanliness and quality
- Ensure that adequate cleaning supplies and equipment are maintained
Food Service Coordination
- Assist with meal planning and menu coordination
- Coordinate food ordering and inventory management
- Receive food deliveries and verify orders
- Ensure food handling and sanitation standards are maintained
- Coordinate with kitchen staff regarding occupancy level and dietary requirements. (Additional staff required as occupancy numbers increase)
Maintenance Coordination
- Receive, prioritize and respond to maintenance requests from guests and employees
- Conduct routine facility inspections and document
- Perform minor repairs where appropriate or coordinate specialized contractors for electrical, plumbing, HVAC, mechanical repairs
- Monitor preventative maintenance schedules for camp facilities and equipment
Client & Contractor relations
- Serve as the primary point of contact for camp-related operations matters
- Liaise with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and project management
- Coordinate contractor access to the camp
- Respond professionally to operations inquiries and service requests
- Resolve operations issues in a timely and professional manner.
Indigenous Community Liaison
- Maintain a respectful working relationship with local indigenous community
- Coordinate with indigenous contractors and community representatitves regarding camp operations and project activities
- Promot culturally respectful communication and collaboration
- Support local employment and procurement initiatives where applicable
Administration
- Monitor and respond to the camp's shared email account in a timely manner
- Maintain electronic records, reports, inspection documentation and operational files
- Coordinate employee scheduling and camp occupancy reporting
- Maintain all records from purchasing, inventory, maintenance and other applicable reports
- Coordinate travel schedules and employee arrivals and departures where needed
Leadership
- Provide leadership and direction to camp personnel
- Foster a respectful, inclusive, and pforessional work environment
- Resolve employee concerns and operational conflicts, elevating to senior management as required
- Promote continuous improvement of camp operations
Applicants must have the following certifications and skills:
· Valid Food Safe
· Valid First Aid
· Driver’s licence with a clean driver’s abstract and experience driving trucks on logging roads.
· Eligible to legally work in Canada.

Blue Collar has provided camp services and accommodation for remote workers since being established in 1983. Our management team collectively has years of experience in camp logistics, often operating in remote locations. We service the oil and gas, mining, forest and energy industries of Western Canada.
