EMPLOYMENT STATUS Union – CUPE – Regular Full time (2 positions) SCOPE This position is responsible for driving, operating and light servicing of a Tandem dump truck with trailer, in accordance with Class 1 regulations and performing routine construction and maintenance tasks. RESPONSIBILITIES Some typical duties would include loading, positioning, transporting and unloading materials, tools and equipment under varying traffic and road conditions; completing inspections of equipment including checking oil, fuel levels, tires,



lubricating and safety operations. Additional duties include driving a City vehicle to and from job sites and assisting crew members in performing their duties. You must have knowledge of heavy trucks, equipment, and various attachments; operating a tandem dump truck with trailer with air brakes and have the ability to load, unload and secure equipment to and from trailers. Perform other related duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS Completed Grade 12 Driving experience on air brake equipped trucks with trailers Considerable driving experience with flatbed equipment trailers and gravel dump box trailers. You must hold a valid Class 1 B.C. Driver’s License with air endorsement with a safe driving record. OTHER INFORMATION Hourly Rate: $39.85 (Schedule C) Open Until Filled
