We take pride in our culture of learning, ownership, and one team, and are committed to cultivating a diverse and inclusive workplace for everyone.Schedule: Monday - Thursday, 6:45am to 5:15pmSkills & Knowledge Requirements3+ years of experience and knowledge in areas of tools and machine maintenanceJourneyman Millwright ticketMechanical aptitude and dexterity in the use of related maintenance tools, equipment and instrumentsAbility to perform preventative maintenance, inspections, repairs, and troubleshoot mechanical systems.Experience inspecting, maintaining, and cleaning industrial machinery.Ability to fabricate and install engineered hazard controls, including machine guards.Understanding of production processes and lines in a factory environmentDemonstrated problem solving and priority planning capabilitiesEffective communication with the General Production staff and ability to work with operators and managementJob Duties & ResponsibilitiesThe Millwright position is a member of the Calgary Manufacturing team and is responsible for supporting the production of Metrie products through the maintenance of equipment and machinery utilized to produce quality products.Maintain preventative maintenance program for equipment and machinesConduct inspection of all mechanical equipment and tools located within the building and grounds as per regular maintenance checks and action where necessaryInspect tools and machines for cleaning deficienciesFabricate and install engineered hazard controls (ie. Guards)Work and collaborate with Production staff and Operators to proactively and creatively drive initiatives to reduce downtime as well as improve knowledge and skillsUpdate and maintain all necessary maintenance records, such as inspection reports, service requests, incident reports, turnover sheets, and maintenance/contractor files both in paper and on the computerPromote teamwork amongst the entire plant to keep operations efficientRead, understand, and follow all Safe Work Practices for machinery and equipmentUnderstand company safety regulations and relevant occupational health and safety legislationOther ad hoc duties as requiredWhat you'll enjoyRate: $34.00 - $45.00/hour depending on education and experienceWorking for a well-established leader in the industryBenefits: health, dental and visionRRSP and DPSP programsMetrie embraces diversity and is committed to creating an inclusive environment where all team members and customers belong.
