As a Lot Attendant, you will play an important role in keeping our dealership organized, clean, safe, and ready for our customers. You will support both our Sales and Service teams by managing vehicle movement, maintaining our lots, and helping ensure the dealership operates smoothly throughout the day.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys staying active, takes pride in keeping things organized, and is comfortable working both independently and as part of a team. The successful candidate is reliable, safety-conscious, adaptable, and comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Support the Sales and Service departments with daily dealership lot and vehicle management needs.
- Maintain new and used vehicle lots to ensure they are clean, organized, and presented according to dealership standards.
- Move and position vehicles throughout the dealership as required.
- Assist with managing the flow of vehicles through the Service Drive-Thru to help maintain safe and efficient operations.
- Inspect vehicles as they arrive and report any damage or concerns immediately.
- Ensure vehicles are parked and positioned appropriately and securely.
- Remove snow, litter, debris, and other materials from dealership lots and surrounding areas as required.
- Monitor dealership lots for potential safety hazards and report concerns promptly.
- Assist with maintaining vehicle presentation and overall dealership appearance.
- Support the Service Drive-Thru Attendant and Sales team as required.
- Assist with customer and vehicle traffic during busy periods.
- Perform additional operational duties assigned by management.
What We’re Looking For
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s Licence required.
- Clean driving abstract required.
- Ability to operate both manual and automatic transmission vehicles required.
- Certificate of Conduct required.
- High school diploma or equivalent considered an asset.
- Previous automotive, dealership, or customer service experience considered an asset.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to commute to or relocate to St. John’s, NL.

What You’ll Experience in the Role Physical demands of the role include:
- Standing and walking for extended periods.
- Bending, stretching, lifting, reaching, and climbing.
- Lifting up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
- Moving throughout dealership lots, Service, Sales, and other operational areas.
- Performing seasonal snow clearing and removal of debris.
- Utilizing physical and manual dexterity throughout the workday.
- Operating vehicles and equipment consistent with industry standards.
This position involves working in an active dealership environment with exposure to:
- Noise and vibration.
- Dust and exhaust fumes.
- Wet or slippery surfaces.
- Hazardous and non-hazardous automotive materials.
- Extreme heat and cold depending on seasonal conditions.
- Outdoor conditions including snow, rain, wind, and ice.
Safety Expectations
- CSA approved, Steel toe safety boots are required.
- PPE, including high-visibility safety vests and eye protection, must be worn as required.
- Follow all Occupational Health & Safety legislation, regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Maintain awareness of workplace hazards and follow secure work practices.
- Use vehicles, equipment, and materials appropriately and safely.
- Immediately report hazards, vehicle damage, unsafe conditions, or incidents to management.
- Be prepared to respond appropriately in emergency situations, including evacuation procedures and emergency equipment use.
