We are seeking a friendly and efficient Cashier to join our retail team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional customer service, handle transactions accurately, and contribute to a positive shopping experience. This role requires solid communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Bilingual abilities and experience in retail sales or merchandising are considered a plus. The Cashier will be responsible for managing cash handling processes, operating POS systems, and upselling products to enhance sales.
Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist with their purchases
- Operate POS systems accurately for cash, credit payments
- Handle cash handling responsibilities with precision and integrity
- Provide product demos and information to customers to promote sales
- Upsell items and suggest additional products to meet customer needs
- Maintain organized merchandising displays and ensure product availability
- Manage phone inquiries professionally following proper phone etiquette
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized checkout area
- Support team members with inventory management and stock replenishment as needed
- Ensure timely transaction processing while delivering excellent customer service
Experience
- Previous experience in retail sales, cashiering, or customer service preferred, freshers are welcome
- Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities such as Hindi, Punjabi or other languages are a plus
- Familiarity with POS systems and basic math skills for accurate cash handling
- Knowledge of merchandising, product demos, and upselling techniques is advantageous
- Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks in a busy environment
- Demonstrated organizational skills and attention to detail
- Experience in technical sales or familiarity with technology products is beneficial but not required
