AEGIS Homecare is currently seeking reliable and compassionate Health Care Aides (HCAs) to join our team on a casual basis for facility staffing assignments.

You will have the opportunity to work in Retirement Homes and Long-Term Care (LTC) facilities throughout Calgary and surrounding areas.

Position: Health Care Aide (HCA) – Casual

Work Setting: Retirement Homes & Long-Term Care Facilities

Employment Type: Casual / On-Call

Responsibilities

- Provide compassionate, person-centred care to residents
- Assist with personal care, bathing, grooming, toileting, and dressing
- Support residents with mobility and transfers
- Assist with meals and daily activities
- Monitor and report changes in residents' condition
- Follow facility policies, care plans, and safety procedures
- Complete required documentation and reporting
- Work collaboratively with nurses, HCAs, and facility staff

Requirements

- Valid HCA certification recognized in Alberta




- Experience working in retirement homes, supportive living, or long-term care is an asset
- Current CPR/First Aid
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable, skilled, and compassionate
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Flexibility to accept casual shifts based on facility needs
