Role Description The Catering Assistant role is a part-time, on-site position based in Yellowknife, NT.

The Catering

Assistant supports day-to-day catering operations, including food preparation, platter assembly, and setup for meetings, events, and special occasions.

Responsibilities include maintaining a clean and organized workspace, following food safety and hygiene standards, and assisting with packing, delivery, and on-site service as needed.



The role also involves communicating with team members, supporting customized menus, and ensuring that each event meets Oak & Olive’s standards for presentation and quality.

The Catering

Assistant may be scheduled for evenings, weekends, and peak event periods depending on business needs.

Qualifications

- Demonstrated skills in food preparation and basic kitchen operations.
- Strong understanding of hygiene, food safety, and cleanliness standards.
- Customer service skills with a focus on professionalism and client satisfaction.
- Clear and respectful communication skills for working with clients and team members.
- Experience in food service or catering environments.
