10tation Event Catering, Freebird Market's sister company, is looking for an experienced Cook to join our busy production kitchen in Etobicoke.

We prepare food for corporate catering, weddings, private events, and large-scale functions throughout the GTA. This is a hands-on cooking position working with a wide variety of menu items, including proteins, vegetables, starches, sauces, soups, appetizers, canapés, and composed dishes.

We are looking for someone who is confident in the kitchen, works well at a fast pace, and can consistently produce great food while keeping up with a busy production schedule.

Responsibilities

- Prepare and cook a wide variety of menu items for catered events
- Work with proteins, vegetables, starches, sauces, soups, appetizers, canapés, and composed dishes
- Follow recipes and production quantities accurately
- Prepare high-volume batches while maintaining quality and consistency
- Set up and organize your station for daily production
- Complete prep and production lists within required timelines
- Properly cook, cool, label, store, and rotate food
- Maintain a clean, organized, and food-safe workstation
- Assist with inventory, receiving, and minimizing food waste
- Work closely with our chefs and production team to complete daily orders
- Support other kitchen stations when required





What We're Looking For
- 2+ years of professional cooking experience preferred
- Experience in a restaurant, catering, banquet, hotel, or production kitchen
- Strong knife skills and general cooking knowledge
- Comfortable preparing food in large quantities
- Experience with hot kitchen production and appetizers is a strong asset
- Able to follow recipes and work independently
- Organized and able to manage multiple tasks in a rapid-paced kitchen
- Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Full-time availability is required
- Evening and weekend availability is required
