We are seeking a friendly, organized, and experienced Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) with a strong background in pediatric dentistry to join our great dental team! The ideal candidate will be dedicated to providing exceptional patient care to children, ensuring a positive and comfortable experience during their dental visits. This role involves supporting the dental team with clinical procedures, patient management, and administrative tasks within a pediatric-focused environment.
Duties
- Assist the dentist during various pediatric dental procedures, including exams, cleanings, and restorative treatments.
- Previous experience assisting during minimal sedation procedures
- Current BLS certification
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments in accordance with infection control protocols.
- Educate young patients and their guardians on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
- Manage patient records utilizing the cleardent electronic health record system
- Take and develop dental radiographs as needed, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
- Support administrative tasks including scheduling appointments, confirming patient visits, and managing patient flow.
- Maintain a welcoming environment by engaging positively with children and their families.
Requirements
- Valid CDA certification with experience working with children in a dental setting.
- Previous experience assisting during minimal sedation procedures
- Current BLS certificate
- Proficiency in cleardent
- Knowledge of terminology relevant to pediatric dentistry.
- Experience in dental assisting, including taking radiographs and sterilization procedures.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with young patients and their guardians.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
