Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will support the clinical team by providing exceptional patient care and ensuring smooth daily operations. This role offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, utilizing your dental assisting skills and knowledge of dental software systems.
The Dental
Assistant will play a vital role in delivering high-quality dental services while maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for patients of all ages.
Responsibilities
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments to ensure a sterile workplace
- Assist the dentist during various procedures, including endodontics and surgery
- Take dental radiographs sing
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene, procedures, and post-treatment care
- Manage patient records efficiently using dental software such as tracker
- Handle administrative tasks including scheduling appointments, updating patient information, and managing patient flow
- Support the dental reception area by greeting patients and answering basic inquiries when needed
- Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and maintain infection control standards
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role within a dental practice
- Knowledge of dental software systems (TRACKER)
- Strong understanding of medical terminology related to dentistry
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to provide compassionate patient care
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and handle multiple tasks efficiently
- Certification or training in dental assisting is required with HARP certification
- Prior experience supporting dental reception duties is desirable
