Join SaskAbilities as a Mentor supporting the Partners in Employment program in Saskatoon. This full time, temporary position emphasizes individualized support and skill development for participants with disabilities.
In this role, you will assist participants by implementing person-centered employment plans tailored to their unique needs. Your focus will involve providing mentorship, tracking progress, and addressing accommodation strategies. You will also engage with various stakeholders to improve communication and support for participants aiming for community employment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Create and implement tailored employability plans
• Mentor participants currently employed in the community
• Track participant progress and adjust plans as necessary
• Facilitate support education for effective communication
• Promote self-management and independent action among individuals
Requirements:
• Equivalent to Disability Support Worker/Rehabilitation Worker Certificate
• 2-3 years relevant experience in Human Services
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Understanding of local community resources
• Access to a personal vehicle and valid driver’s license
