Position SummaryAs an Electrical Engineer II you will design, develop, document and execute electrical and/or electromechanical solutions for components and subassemblies to meet company, team and group goals. You will perform analyses and resolve issues using problem solving techniques to develop new and innovative solutions for our Customers. In this role you will use electrical engineering principles for control system hardware, electromechanical interfaces, compliance to machine specifications, and compliance to applicable electrical codes and standards. As an Electrical Engineer II you must be able to solve machine control problems by applying knowledge of electrical engineering principles to accomplish technical assignments. You will be an individual contributor as part of a larger development team, working on many phases of projects of moderate complexity.This is a hybrid role with the requirement of working onsite at our Quebec, Canada location, 3 days per week.What You'll do as an Electrical Engineer IITechnical Axis:Execute the Electrical Engineering activities in the project, including Initiation, coordination, synchronization and review.Prepare documentation and electrical designs for technical reviews.Use electrical engineering principles in the selection of solenoids, motors, valves, process instrumentation and associated controls needed to meet machine control solutions.Confirm electrical system's and component's capabilities and quality by designing testing methods and evaluating properties.Lead electrical designs (follow up, analysis, problem solving),



verification and reporting.Interact with vendors and suppliers to select electrical components/subassemblies that comply with machine requirements and specifications.Coordinate details and design criteria with other engineering disciplines on a development project.Exhibit a working knowledge of applicable codes and standards.Perform routine engineering investigations involving calculations and/or tests in support of current products, new designs, methods, materials, or process studiesProject Axis:Work as a collaborative team member in engineering projects.Work under general supervision with few direct instructions. Carry out routine and semi-routine tasks independently.Lead the electrical technical reviews working within the project constraints of schedule, cost, performance, quality and reliability objectives.Management Axis:* Has no direct reports.* May lead technical staff (Technicians, Designers).The Experience, Skills and Abilities NeededRequired:* Bachelor degree of Engineering* Minimum 3 years related engineering experiencePreferred:Membership in the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ) is preferredExperience with use of computer aided engineering tools in design, simulation or test system automationFamiliar with at least one of the following industry standards: UL, CSA, NEMA, IEC, NFPA, etc...Previous experience designing in a regulated research and development environmentOther:Self motivated and creative, yet an exceptional product development team playerStrong communication and problem solving skillsWorking knowledge of electrical systems, electrical troubleshooting,
