Ndinawemaaganag Endaawaad Inc. is hiring a Youth Support Worker to champion the needs of Indigenous youth. Offering mentorship and support, this full-time role includes overnight shifts.
In this impactful position, you will engage with young people, helping them navigate challenges through trauma-informed care and mentoring. Your responsibilities will include providing a safe workplace, collaborating with colleagues, and ensuring all necessary documentation is maintained accurately.
Key Responsibilities: • Supervise and engage with youth effectively • Provide mentorship and support for independent living • Advocate for youth by offering resources and referrals • Maintain a clean and safe working environment • Document all interactions and incidents accurately
Requirements: • Education in Child and Youth Care or related field • Experience with Indigenous communities • Understanding of trauma-informed approaches • Strong problem-solving and communication skills • Valid Class 5 Driver’s License and CPR/First Aid certified
