Chemistry Subject Matter Expert (AI Training)

We're looking for chemistry experts to help train and evaluate cutting-edge AI models being developed by the world's leading research labs. Your scientific knowledge will directly shape how AI understands and reasons through complex chemistry — from undergraduate fundamentals to advanced graduate-level topics.
This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the frontier of AI development using skills you've already built — no prior AI experience needed.

- Commitment: 10–40 hours/week
What You'll Do
- Design challenging, nuanced chemistry problems to rigorously test AI performance across domains such as chemical engineering, biochemistry, organic chemistry, and more
- Develop clear, methodical solutions with step-by-step reasoning that serve as gold-standard references
- Evaluate AI-generated responses for scientific accuracy, logical coherence, and depth of reasoning
- Collaborate with researchers to build and refine benchmarks spanning undergraduate through Master's-level chemistry
- Provide structured, actionable feedback that directly improves AI model quality
Who You Are
- Currently pursuing or have completed a Master's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry, or a closely related field
- Solid analytical and problem-solving skills across advanced chemistry domains
- Able to communicate complex scientific concepts clearly and precisely in writing
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to rigor and accuracy
- Self-motivated and comfortable working independently on an asynchronous schedule
- No prior AI experience required
Nice to Have
- Experience with data annotation, data quality assessment, or evaluation systems
- Familiarity with AI language models or scientific benchmarking
- Background spanning multiple chemistry subdisciplines
