motivate and manage production personnel; oversee all production activities (physical and administrative)Responsible for overseeing the scheduling of production to ensure on-time shipment; Review product lead time and cycle-time to develop goalsProvide technical assistance to Production Technicians and Leads. Provide technical and status update information to sales, customer service and customers as requiredManage the development and improvement of production methodsParticipate in development of new production processes in conjunction with Commercial Development and Engineering groupsStay current on developments related to production processes and government regulations effecting the product line and the production processInterface with Management and Commercial Team members regarding production and quality issuesRecruit, select and develop talent into the organizationDevelop meaningful service and quality metrics. Prepare and present performance to upper managementManage supplies for production departmentOversee all current production equipment including preventive maintenance, repairs, and purchase of new equipmentPerform other duties as assigned by Production/Operations ManagerAdhere to all company policies, safety, and standard operating proceduresOperate fill systems when necessary -Lead daily production meetingsLead daily toolbox talks on safety and qualityProvide meaningful feedback on Production Tech performance via PMP processResponsible for (or to participate in) Hazop, Synergi case investigations, customer complaint investigationsProvide Leadership to all site production personnelProactively identify risks to safety and quality: Drive mitigation, Drive process improvements, Drive KPI performance (Safety, On-time shipping, eCAR mitigation,



GAP)Develop and execute local business strategyLead/Assist with Hazop and RA sessionsSupport customer and ISO auditsManage plant budgeting activitiesStrongly Manage Safety and Quality performanceDevelop 1- 3-5 year plan for OperationsDevelop proper strategy for Asset planning to prevent shortagesDevelop strong culture of personal accountability for Safety and QualityWhat It TakesEducation and Experience:Bachelor's degree in Science or Engineering preferred, Or no degree and 10 years in directly related operations experienceMinimum 6 Years of experience in Operations, Supply Chain Management, Lab Management, or Quality ManagementKey Skills And AttributesStrong leadership qualities that include giving clear direction, thinking proactively, and having a high sense of accountabilityThe ability to lead a team, motivate, and cultivate direct reports to achieve high performance, encouraging individuals to do betterDemonstrates positive open interpersonal skills with proven ability to work constructively with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders while demonstrating an acceptable level of assertivenessAdequate knowledge of business and management principles (budgeting, strategic planning, resource allocation and human resources)Be knowledgeable of safety, quality, productivity, inventory, etc.Computer literacyAbility to create accountability and to lead by exampleAt Messer, our vision for culture and engagement is to create an environment where all of us accept, respect and value the differences of multiple identities and truly welcome the diverse ideas and perspectives of individuals.
