Enhance Edmonton's ecological network as an Open Space Planner with the City of Edmonton. This temporary full-time role emphasizes strategic planning and community engagement to improve trails and parks. The City of Edmonton is looking for a collaborative planner to impact the city’s open spaces.

With a robust foundation in ecological and recreational planning, you will apply your expertise to develop policies and innovative approaches. Your work will include analysis, mapping, and engaging with various stakeholders to ensure sustainable community access. Key Responsibilities:

- Apply planning principles to develop open space guidelines
- Conduct spatial analyses for long-term planning
- Create interactive tools and dashboards for policy support
- Facilitate engagement with the public and Indigenous groups
- Review and provide input on land development projects Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Urban Planning or related field
- At least two years of relevant experience
- Advanced GIS software skills
- Proven ability to communicate effectively
- Sound knowledge of open space and environmental policies Drive change in Edmonton’s parks and natural areas through strategic ecological planning.
