Responsibilities

- Safely operate your own commercial truck to transport freight within city limits and surrounding regions, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Load and unload freight using equipment such as forklifts or other heavy machinery when necessary, ensuring proper handling and securement
- Conduct routine inspections of your vehicle and equipment, including brakes, lights, tires, and safety features, to ensure optimal operation
- Maintain accurate documentation of deliveries, pickups, mileage logs, and delivery receipts for compliance and reporting purposes
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients,



and team members to coordinate schedules and resolve any logistical issues promptly
- Perform minor automotive repairs or troubleshooting as needed to keep your vehicle in top condition
- Follow safety protocols rigorously to prevent accidents or damage during loading, unloading, or transit

Skills

- Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid CDL (Commercial Driver’s License)
- Skilled in operating forklifts and other heavy equipment safely and efficiently
- Knowledge of freight handling procedures and securement techniques
- Ability to perform basic automotive repairs and troubleshoot mechanical issues
- Strong understanding of safety regulations related to heavy equipment operation and transportation
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and clients
- Physical ability to lift heavy objects, operate machinery, and perform inspections as required
